● In charge of managing a pluridisciplinary team of researchers and technicians
● This team is the R&D core of company and will be divided in several sub R&D departments including: microbiology, genetics, BSF (Black Soldier Fly) nutrition, product testing (feed trials) and product developments (animal health oriented)
  - The R&D Director will be in charge of planning, coordinating and supervising the key R&D progs with each sub department head/company advisors
  - Set up objectives, timelines and report outcomes
  - Objectives will always be related to measurable key economic parameters – cost reduction via opex reduction, capex reduction or revenue increase via new product developments, new claims developed around existing product portfolio
● Liaise with management and production team to apply new processes at industrial scale based on R&D results
● Discuss and agree with management about yearly R&D goals and budget
● Liaise with new and existing R&D partners to leverage resources and capabilities
● Schedule
   - Min 3 days/week on site (Vinh Cuu, Dong Nai Province – 1.30 drive from Saigon) required to follow ongoing trials – Transport provided
   - Max 2 days/week in HCMC office for data analysis and meeting with R&D partners/management

● 10+ years’ experience leading R&D Projects in the food/feed/health/veterinary/biotech industry and reporting at highest management level
● Min Master's Degree in Animal Nutrition and/or Biotechnology with strong affinities with microbiology and immunology.
● Strong focus in applied research with industrial applicability
● Experience with feed trials (aqua – fish and shrimps) is a plus

● Strong understanding of biotech Intellectual Property – patenting strategies is a plus
● Good communication skills in both English and Vietnamese.
